Gary J. Perez has been the President and CEO of USC Credit Union (USCCU) since 1988. The USCCU, a non-profit Credit Union, is a $740 million Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and Minority Depository Institution (MDI). It proudly serves the University of Southern California's faculty, staff, students, and alumni, along with the residents and small businesses in the underserved and underbanked communities of color surrounding USC's South Los Angeles and East Los Angeles campuses. Gary earned an MS degree from USC’s Sol Price School of Policy, Planning, and Development, and a BS degree from Azusa Pacific University. He is actively involved in the community, serving as a Board member of the African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC), the Education Credit Union Council (ECUC), and the Southern California Credit Union Alliance (SCCUA).
